Donald MacLeod's memorial video is one of the most personally crafted tributes we have produced, built around the voice, objects, and creative life of a college English teacher with a deep love of poetry. The film features a custom fly-through of meaningful physical keepsakes that were hand-designed, staged, and filmed with a gimbal, then refined with stabilization and post-production effects to create a graceful, cinematic movement through his world. Restored photo scans were carefully transformed with tasteful AI animation, while original music was produced to blend naturally with the narration. Because Donald was a poet and teacher, several recordings of his spoken-word poems were woven over soft, gentle piano, giving the tribute an unusually intimate voice. The finished memorial received one of the highest compliments we have ever heard from a family: they shared that they had never seen a standing ovation after a memorial video, and that everyone was in tears.
